Luminance Products

Luminance is a leading provider of Legal-Grade™ AI technology designed to transform the way businesses interact with their contracts. From generation to negotiation and post-execution analysis, Luminance’s AI brings specialised expertise to every touchpoint a business has with its contracts.

AI-Powered Contract Analysis

Luminance’s AI-powered repository automatically extracts key information from all contracts, whether executed or under negotiation, providing instant insight across over 1,000 legal concepts, such as contract term, clauses present, and governing law. The technology uses a mixture of experts approach, known as the ‘Panel of Judges’, which employs diverse models to provide specialised, balanced expertise for different tasks as required. This ensures legal-grade accuracy during contract generation, negotiation, and analysis.

Automated Contract Review and Redrafting

Luminance’s AI can automatically analyse any contract out-of-the-box, visually indicating where terms differ from previously agreed wording and therefore pose a risk. It can even bring third-party contracts into line with gold standards in a click, reducing time drains for the legal team. The AI also offers suggested precedent and fallback positions via the sidebar in Microsoft Word, which can be substituted with just one click. Additionally, Luminance’s AI chatbot, Ask Lumi, allows users to ask natural language questions about their documents and receive instant, legally accurate responses. Lawyers can ask the chatbot to summarise a contract in seconds or redraft clauses on-the-fly to quickly amend problematic provisions with compliant wording.

Luminance’s AI empowers non-legal teams to generate, negotiate, and amend contracts in line with internal standards. From Sales and Procurement to Finance and HR, every business function can use Luminance to draft their own compliant contracts from approved templates. With Luminance Self-Serve, non-legal teams can use Luminance’s AI to take a first pass review of third-party contracts. Luminance will instantly highlight areas of risk and suggestions for how to bring documents into line with company standards.

Integration and Security

Luminance is integrated with MS Word and Outlook, Salesforce, and a number of VDRs. It is informed by millions of legally verified documents to provide the utmost rigour and is ISO27001 certified. The technology is designed to be fast, secure, and scalable.
